Our very popular Jamie & Charli 2011 Sauvignon Blanc received 3 1/2 stars at the recent Winestate "Best From The West" panel tasting... "A good, clean easy-drinking style with great varietal definition of citrus and mineral-like characters."
Winestate Magazine is just out and (drum-roll please) our Willoughby Park 2011 Sauvignon Blanc has been awarded 4 1/2 stars from the "Best From The West" tasting panel! In fact it was the highest rating Sauvignon Blanc tasted. Huge congrats to our fabulous winemaking team for showing (once again) that a small boutique Denmark winery can really make its mark in the Australian wine arena!
"Lovely perfumed/floral bouquet with lily-of-the-valley and gooseberry-like characters. A long lingering palate with great vibrancy and subtle but well defined varietal flavours."
More happy customers who enjoyed their experience at Boston Brewery so much they gave us a 5-star review on Trip Advisor... "We had drinks here one afternoon and returned the following evening for dinner. We had pizza which was awesome. The beer brewed on site is great and they do a lovely ginger beer as well. Food and service were excellent. Not sure what this place is like during peak times such as the school holidays but the brewery has substantial seating so is set up for the crowds. Highly recommend this venue."
We are feeling a wee bit chuffed!

Willoughby Park continues to bring you the best of Western Australian music with indie folk/rocker Joel Barker performing this Saturday from 4-8pm.
Over a 4 year period Barker has traversed the globe from the dusty expanses of Mongolia to the intensity and lure of New York City, all the while seeding thoughts and ideas of an album based on people in landscapes in time. His travels and ability to weave his tales have seen him play extensively through Australia, Canada, the States and the United Kingdom. His songs are his notebook, exposed with an honesty and fragility that core and tangle into the listeners consciousness. His voice is powered by a delicate vibrato that echoes both sentiment and intent.
Venturing from solo to collective, Barker plays with his talented friends Peter Dewing on guitar (and occasional egg shakin), Pierre Greenway on drums and husky backing vocals, and Julien Zanin on the smooth bass.
To book a table please call 08 9848 1555!
Saturday Sounds continue this week with John Buckley to entertain the crowds from 4-8pm this Saturday 28th April.
Why not bring the family out to enjoy one of our fabulous wood-fired pizzas!
See you there...
PROMPT SERVICE, GREAT FOOD, SETTING AND WINERY/BREWERY OPTION
Reviewed 13 April 2012 NEW - Trip Advisor
"My husband and I visited the winery with friends in October 2011 and I was underwhelmed by the wine selection, but what did I know? Evidently wine expert James Halliday rates it v highly. Imagine our amusement when locals directed us to a brewery 5-10 mins out of Denmark, where we were staying for 2 nights - and found ourselves back at Willoughby :-)
This time we saw a different side to the place. There's also a brewery, and a restaurant. The outside dining area was almost full, despite being mid week and around 1.30. Terrific outlook over vineyard and good for family groups whose children were enjoying themselves in the play area.
We had to clear the table ourselves, but once the waitress arrived, she cleaned it up and we were pleasantly surprised that our fish and. chips (one grilled, one with a lovely beer batter) arrived swiftly afterwards. The chips here rated special mention from locals and were great. Reasonably priced, good value and recommended."
Vintage 2012 is drawing to a close but the frantic pace continues in the winery, nursing the white fermentations through to completion and pressing off the reds.
Very exciting from a winemaking point of view to see the outstanding quality of the fruit this year coming through to the wines, especially how some of the winemaking trials are looking!
Meanwhile Fiona has been brewing flat-out to keep up with very busy times at the brewery over easter (not to mention how thirsty the cellar staff are after each hard day’s work!).
Off this weekend to have a look at one last batch of fruit still hanging on the vine to set a harvest date then vintage 2012 will be done and dusted!
Looking forward to seeing people at the winery and brewery and showing off the fruits of our labour.
